Barry DeBois is an actor and singer based in Chicago after 10 years in New York City, and a member of Actors Equity. He is a patent-carrying designer-turned-actor who studied drama and vocal music throughout high school and college. From fronting bands to theatrical productions to commercials, Barry has performed in venues ranging from playhouses to cruise ships to screens large and small and all around the world.
Barry DeBois is a writer and director for stage and screen. Barry was a director and videographer for ReelArc, a custom scene shop for actors in NYC. He has also Director for the Chicago-based production company Foxhole Creative. Barry wrote and directed the short film "Train Approaching", which was selected for the 2015 Coney Island Film Festival. He is also a Music Director and served as the Music Captain on the 2016/17 National Tour of Once the Musical. More than anything, Barry is passionate about collaboration.
Barry DeBois is a producer and editor and the co-founder of Bruth Media, an all-purpose media and production collective based in New York City. Bruth Media produced film, television, theatre and new media. They also provided photography, graphic design, and video production services. Barry was also a producer and the Music Supervisor for the live streaming variety show and 501c3 Non-Profit organization, Foxhole Live.
